OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is one of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances.
Every OM CLOHING item is OEKO-TEX® certified, so you can be certain that every component (every thread and accessory) has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health.
All our products use the AWARE™ blockchain application. Every step of the process is registered and recorded using a physical tracer that takes record of every single person that worked on it, origin of threads and fabrics, and its footprint impact. Once the production process ends, the data is offered directly from the first-hand makers of the products and the producers. All environmental data, and the complete journey of each garment are registered and can be traced back for full transparency.
Joining the continuous effort to improve working conditions in the supply chain, we ensure all our products are manufactured in production facilities with a valid social audit according to the Amfori BSCI auditing framework and Code of Conduct. This framework upholds strict social standards in line with international conventions like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Labour Organization (ILO).
Wash at 30 degrees max / Air-dry / Iron gently inside out
No bleaching / No TUMBLE DRY / NO dry cleaning
Did you know that the way you care for your clothes has the biggest impact on their longevity and environmental footprint? You can significantly reduce this impact by treating and washing them mindfully.
Here are some helpful tips to live in tune with the sound of Om.
Wash Less, Wear More: Many clothes are washed more often than needed. Instead of reaching for the washing machine, try airing out your garments to refresh them, and when you do, try sticking to short wash cycles whenever possible. This not only saves water and electricity but also helps your clothes last longer.
Cool It Down: Always follow the care instructions, but remember—the temperature on the label is the maximum. Washing at lower temperatures, like 30 degrees, is just as effective with the right detergent and uses less energy. This simple change can make a big difference in reducing your environmental impact.
Choose Eco-Friendly Detergents: Opt for detergents with eco-labels, such as The Swan (Nordic countries) or the EU Flower (in the EU), to ensure a gentler impact on the planet.
Maximise Every Load: When washing, make sure to fill up the machine. A good rule of thumb is to leave enough space for a clenched fist above the clothes.
Spot-Treat Stains: If you spot a stain, treat it according to the care instructions before tossing the item into the wash. Often, a little liquid dish detergent is all you need. Once the stain is gone, you might not even need to wash the whole garment.
Air Dry for Longevity: Skip the tumble dryer whenever possible. Hanging your clothes to dry saves energy and is gentler on the fabric, helping your pieces breathe properly and stay in top condition for longer. If you’re into ironing, make sure you do so inside-out and take it easy on the printed parts.
